Marcela Fernández
Fiscal
Marcela considers herself a happy person, a protective mother, loves her job, believes in reciprocal respect, no matter what age or economic level you are in, children, adults, seniors; all people deserve dignified, honest, and sincere treatment.
She works as a lawyer and notary public; member of the Costa Rican Bar Association, the National Directorate of Notaries, specialist in notarial and registry, constitutional, family, labor law, conciliator, and mediator. She works as an independent attorney at her boutique law office located between Brasilito and La Paz Cabo Velas (Marcela Fernández Law Firm).
Marcela is from Palmares; she moved to Guanacaste in 2000 to live peacefully and forge a future in a completely new place, but with the charisma necessary to put down roots so strong that she still thinks 21 years later that it has been her best decision. Her daughter Jimena started Kindergarten in La Paz in 2008 and graduated from the IB Program in May 2021; currently, her son Camilo is in first grade in La Paz Cabo Velas.
Marcela has been a member of the Board of Directors for more than ten years; now, as Comptroller, she hopes to be part of a transition process to collaborate between both Campuses. The experience as a member of the Board of Directors has allowed her to see dreams, achievements, and challenges overcome together with other parents and founders, who were and are part of the continuity of an idea, whose mission and vision came to change the life of many people, especially for the Guanacaste childhood. “A student graduated from La Paz, is a citizen capable of changing and improving the world wherever they go.”
