The field trip to the beach. We played in the water after we looked for fossils.

Our curriculum is thematic, place-based, and engaging as students reach to meet high standards outlined by the International Baccalaureate program. Our academic program is process oriented and includes creative essentials such as mindfulness, yoga, physical education, music, drama, visual arts, and year-long environmental projects. Students spend roughly half of their day learning in Spanish and the other half of their day learning in English. Teachers plan collaboratively to ensure that content is made accessible to all levels of language learners through fun, interactive, and individualized activities.
The early primary years are an optimal time to nurture skills such as empathy, communication, problem-solving, and what it means to be a kind member of a classroom and school community. Daily and weekly experiences such as Community Meeting, Big Buddy Little Buddy, and Creative Block ensure that students are given opportunities for meaningful, cross-grade level interactions connected to the thematic classroom learning.
