Karla Solano is a Costa Rican artist who has been dedicated to teaching both children and adults for twenty-five years. She has been a professor at the University of Design, at Blue Valley School and as a Director of the Photography major at the Universidad Creativa. She has represented Costa Rica in Art Biennials in China, Holland, Brazil, Vietnam, among others. In 2010 she won the Aquileo J. Echeverría National Art Prize. In addition to teaching art, to this day she continues to produce and exhibit her works. Since 2020 Karla lives in Guanacaste, where she came to teach and share what she is most passionate about, ART, now being inspired by nature, the community, the sea and peace.
Karla Solano es una artista costarricense que se ha dedicado a la enseñanza tanto para niños como para adultos desde hace veinticinco años. Ha sido profesora en la Universidad del Diseño, en el colegio Blue Valley y directora de la carrera de fotografía en la Universidad Creativa. Ha representado a Costa Rica en bienales de arte en China, Holanda, Brasil, Vietnam entre otros. En el año 2010 ganó el premio nacional de arte Aquileo J. Echeverría. Además de enseñar arte, hasta el día de hoy continúa produciendo y exhibiendo sus obras.
Desde el 2020 reside en Guanacaste, donde vino a enseñar y compartir lo que más le apasiona el ARTE, inspirándose ahora en la naturaleza, la comunidad, el mar y la paz.
