I received my Bachleor´s Degree in Latin American and Iberian Studies, at the University of California Santa Barbara, in the United States. I then went on to obtain my Bilingual Teaching Credential in the state of California. I began my teaching career in inner city public schools in the Los Angeles County of California. I then moved to Costa Rica and have taught English in various private schools in the Carrillo, Guanacaste area for the last 16 years. I am very well known in my community for my commitment and passion for teaching. Making learning interesting and significant is my goal everyday I step into a classroom.
Yo obtuve mi bachiller universitario en Estudios Latino Americanos y Ibéricos en la Universidad de California en Santa Barbara, EEUU. Después obtuve mi Credencial Bilingüe de Enseñanza Primaria en el estado de California, EEUU. Empecé mi carrera como maestra en escuelas publicas en áreas urbanas del condado de Los Ángeles en el estado de California. Decidí mudarme a Costa Rica y he ensenado ingles en escuelas privadas en el cantón de Carrillo por los últimos 16 anos. Yo estoy muy conocida en esta comunidad por mi compromiso y pasión para la enseñanza. Hacer el aprendizaje interesante y significativo es mi meta todos los días que entro a mi aula.
