The La Paz Extracurricular Program offers a wide variety of activities for both students and the community, providing opportunities for students from different grades to share interests and learn from one another through sports, The Arts, recreation and culture. These activities complement their daily learning and enhance their overall educational experience.
The Tiburones athletic program at La Paz Cabo Velas combined with the Pumas Athletic Program at Tempisque provide competitive interscholastic sports programs that include soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, chess, fencing and more. Student athletes focus on developing individual skills and discipline as well as teamwork and sportsmanship. The community rallies to support our La Paz teams during regularly scheduled games throughout the school year. The Gold Coast League provides tournaments for our teams to compete in as well as the Ministry of Education.
Students engaging in high performance Arts or Sports programs outside of school are registered in the La Paz Student-Athlete program to ensure that they are supported academically despite a rigorous training schedule.
